The Rams, coming off a blowout 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, were already without receiver Puka Nacua, who is on injured reserve with a PCL sprain.
According to ESPN's Sarah Barshop, the Rams will also likely be without starting guard Jonah Jackson and safety John Johnson III. Both are dealing with shoulder injuries and are possible candidates for injured reserve.
Jackson would join offensive linemen Joe Noteboom and Steve Avila, who were placed on injured reserve last week along with Nacua.
The silver lining for McVay and the Rams is that none of these most recent injuries are considered season-ending.
Meanwhile, the 49ers are without star running back Christian McCaffrey, who was placed on injured reserve this past weekend due to calf and Achilles injuries.
The Rams and 49ers will square off at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, September 22, at 1:25 p.m. PT. San Francisco, currently 1-1 on the season, is looking to bounce back from a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, while the Rams remain winless at 0-2.
