As a freshman, Fournette rushed for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he rushed for a school-record 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns on 300 carries. In 2016, Fournette struggled with a high ankle sprain that occurred during a camp scrimmage prior to the season. He missed five games in 2016 but still rushed for 843 yards and eight touchdowns on 129 carries.
Peppers was injured after three games during his first year with the Wolverines. In 2015, he earned the Big Ten Freshman of the Year Award and was first-team all-conference. In 2016, he had 72 tackles and an interception through 12 games and was the conference Linebacker of the Year and first-team honoree.
Melifonwu started all four years for the Huskies. The 6-foot-4 and 223-pound safety redshirted his first year at UConn and became the team's starting free safety in 2013 when he had 70 tackles, three for a loss, two interceptions, five passes defended, and two forced fumbles. He started 11 games in 2014 and then 12 games as a junior. Melifonwu, who was a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection in 2016, led his team in tackles (118) and interceptions (4) last year.
Kittle redshirted in 2012 and played in a reserve role in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he started six of 14 games and caught 20 passes for 290 yards and a team-high six receiving touchdowns. Last year, he had 22 receptions for 314 yards and four touchdowns through 11 games.
Tabor allowed an NFL passer rating of 41.2 over the past three years, according to Pro Football Focus. He accumulated 104 tackles, 28 passes defended, and nine interceptions through 37 games played over three years with Florida.
"Tabor has terrific size and quickness, but his pedestrian 40 times at both the combine and his pro day workout are hard to ignore," wrote draft analyst Lance Zierlein of NFL Media.
