49ers defensive end Nick Bosa avoided the physically unable to perform list to open training camp and his performance in the first day of practice impressed one of his longtime teammates.
Bosa tore his ACL in Week 3 of the 2025 season, but left tackle Trent Williams said on Sunday that one wouldn't know that from watching him on the field.
"I see him every day, I can't tell he had an injury and came back from anything," Williams said, via Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. "Most people with an injury that catastrophic, you can see it with something, like with atrophy in leg. Bosa looks better than he did before he got hurt."
It's the third time that Bosa has recovered from a torn ACL â?? he tore his right one for the second time last season â?? and that experience likely helped him with his approach to this round of rehab. Williams's review suggests that experience could pay off for the 49ers defense come September.
