49ers GM John Lynch urges teams to ‘give us a call’ about Brandon Aiyuk trade

SANTA CLARA — John Lynch did not hold back when asked about Brandon Aiyuk’s 49ers future at the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft. “No new update right now,” the general manager said as he held up his cell phone. “We’re available. Give us a call.”Lynch has been consistent, keeping with the plan that San Francisco will hold on to the star wide receiver unless it can procure a trade with another team. “Like I said earlier, I think it’s the prudent thing to do,” Lynch said. “He’s an extremely talented player; he’s been an extremely effective player in our league. The situation didn’t work itself out here. That’s not to say that it can’t be rekindled somewhere else. We’d be happy to do something with anyone if the opportunity presented itself.” There is no debate that when Aiyuk suited up for the team, he was a standout.
