The 49ers this weekend completed a deal with the player who was considered the most likely of the team’s scheduled free agents to re-sign.Kicker Eddy Piñeiro remains with the 49ers on a four-year, $17 million contract, according to his agents and confirmed through other league sources.The 49ers top scheduled free agent is wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who is eyeing a massive new deal.Jennings will officially hit free agency on Monday at 9 a.m. PT, when all teams can enter into contract negotiations with players on expiring contracts.The 49ers and Jennings did not come to an agreement throughout last offseason, so Jennings’ agent will get an opportunity to officially weigh contract offers for his client this week.Upon the conclusion of the 2025 NFL season, Jennings spoke like a man who seemed to acknowledge it was the end of the line with the team that selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.“A run I’ll never forget, for sure,” Jennings said on the day the 49ers gathered to clear out their lockers at Levi’s Stadium.The 49ers have an estimated $35 million in salary-cap space, according to OverTheCap.com....
