Daniel Jeremiah outlines two great blocking WRs for 49ers in 2026 NFL Draft

INDIANAPOLIS — 49ers wide receivers are expected to block while on the field and NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah believes there are two prospects in particular who coach Kyle Shanahan might like. “The two guys from Indiana would fit with that,” Jeremiah told NBC Sports Bay Area. “Just rugged, tough and they are not afraid to go in there and get after it. Those are two that I would put in that mix.”Those two receivers are Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt. With the 49ers currently slotted at pick No. 27, both wideouts could be available to San Francisco on Day 1 or 2 of the NFL draft. “I think it has become more important, yes,” Jeremiah said of receivers who can block. “I think we’ve always had some of those and now they might be valued a little bit more than they have been in the past. “It’s all the condensed formations and being able to dig out linebackers.
