What to Know The 49ers (12-4) lost 13-3 to their longtime rival Seahawks (14-3) in Saturday’s Week 18 regular-season finale, as Seattle grabbed the NFC West title and the conference’s No. 1 playoff seed — along with its first-round bye. After entering the game on a hot streak, Brock Purdy and the 49ers’ offense struggled. The QB completed 19 of 27 passes for 127 yards with no touchdowns, one interception and a 64.9 passer rating. The 49ers’ defense mostly did its job, holding Sam Darnold to no touchdowns on 20-of-26 passing for 198 yards, though the unit did allow Seattle to grab 180 rushing yards and a TD on the ground. The Seahawks completely neutralized Christian McCaffrey, who tallied just 23 rushing yards on eight attempts and brought in four catches for 35 receiving yards. San Francisco’s three points are the team’s fewest since a 23-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Kyle Shanahan’s first game in 2017.
