The Chiefs' new postseason overtime rule, guaranteeing both teams a possession even if the team that receives the overtime kickoff scores a touchdown, was put to the test for the first time in Super Bowl LVIII. San Francisco won the coin toss, and coach Kyle Shanahan chose to receive the kickoff.
