The San Francisco 49ers held their 15th full training camp practice on Saturday as they continued preparations for the 2026 NFL season.
Undrafted rookie tight end Khalil Dinkins, who was waived on July 25, appeared to be back with the 49ers. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
Update: The 49ers announced the signing after this article was posted.

Offensive lineman Austen Pleasants sustained a knee injury on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers and did not practice.
Running back Christian McCaffrey (tightness) and defensive end Nick Bosa (soreness, tendinitis) remain sidelined. McCaffrey worked out in the weight room while his teammates practiced.

Offensive notes
Saturday's practice was shorter than usual, and the team opted not to conduct one-on-one drills during its first on-field work following a game day.
Wide receiver Mike Evans stood out, catching multiple passes for significant gains from quarterback Brock Purdy. Purdy also connected with Evans in the red zone for a touchdown.
According to ESPN's Nick Wagoner, Purdy completed nine of his 15 pass attempts and threw a couple of touchdowns, including a 65-yard throw to tight end Jake Tonges. That could be a pairing to watch if tight end George Kittle isn't ready for Week 1. Tonges also had a couple of significant gains on Purdy throws on consecutive plays.
Purdy connected with wide receiver Jordan Watkins on a deep pass.
Rookie running back Kaelon Black made his NFL debut against the Chargers after missing time during training camp due to an adductor injury. He and running back Jordan James handled the bulk of the carries on Saturday. Both scored touchdowns during red-zone drills.
Black showcased his pass-catching ability during practice, an area he hopes to develop at the NFL level. But it's not the only aspect of his game he hopes to improve.
"Really just all-around game—in the run game, pass game, and just making sure that everyone is really keyed into what they're supposed to be doing to help the offense flow as good as it can," Black said.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel continues to line up at multiple spots, mixing into the passing and running games. He hauled in a touchdown pass from quarterback Adrian Martinez and caught a pass from quarterback Mac Jones despite good coverage by cornerback Jakob Robinson.
Martinez also had a four-yard touchdown run.
Connor Colby and rookie Carver Willis continue to compete at left guard, with the latter getting extensive work on Saturday.
Defensive notes
With Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green out, Jack Jones and Darrell Luter Jr. were the two starting outside cornerbacks in practice.
Defensive tackle C.J. West had a would-be sack of Mac Jones, while cornerback Eli Apple intercepted a Jones pass intended for Mike Evans after some pressure from linebacker Larry Worth.
Worth also recorded a run stop against Deebo Samuel.
Safety Ji'Ayir Brown nearly came away with an interception while working against wide receiver Jordan Watkins but couldn't haul in the ball. Rookie defensive end Romello Height pressured Brock Purdy on the play, but the quarterback stepped up and got the ball away. The pass bounced off Brown's hands and into Watkins' hands for a deep completion down the right side.
Defensive end Sam Okuayinonu forced an incompletion from Purdy after generating some good pressure.
The defense forced three consecutive incompletions from Purdy during the final move-the-ball sequence, creating pressure on the quarterback.
Next practice
The 49ers will return to the practice field on Sunday, August 23 at 10:15 a.m. PT.
