the Jets aren't trading GW. first off, the math doesn't math financially for them. he just signed a 4 yr extension last season. second, the Jets have hella draft capital in a QB heavy draft. why would they get rid of player that would be an incoming QBs main weapon?

Of course they aren't. But it makes it fun to bash Lynch for not making the Madden trades that make no sense for the other team.

Talk to me when Bosa comes back. Then let's see how this D is doing.

So we can trust Bosa to be healthy but not Mike Evans

I felt Pearsall and Stribling were both overkill when they were drafted but here we are… Two high end picks for Wilson just seems nuts to me given we should have 4 quality reinforcements coming back. Wilson has barely broken 1k yards in a year averaging a 160 targets per season

Which is amazing because he has played on an absolute brutal team with no weapons but him and QBs like Zach Wilson, Mike White, Trevor Siemen, Tim Boyle, Joe Flacco, Geno Smith and Justin Fields

And yet he still puts up over 80 catches, 1000+ yards and 5 TDs.

I think he would be a top 5 WR playing in our system with Purdy and is MOST DEFINITELY worth two 1st round picks.

I get that but a 160 targets a season is insane. I haven't watched much of the Jets, two high end picks for a wr who barely breaks 1k in 4 years averaging a 160 targets dude has to be Larry Fitzgerald to warrant that and excuse that production

Some of Larry's prime years look very similar to Wilson's first few years in this context. He's a great player.

Would love to have him on the team in this fantasy discussion.

Idk if Wilson or JJ would be realistic?

Hopefully, we can get rid of this bum ass Aiyuk!

Can we get Mack and Dfo?

at this point, I think Aiyuk is our prisoner of war. we keep him close, off the field, and let him parade himself on social media, as a cautionary tale to the rest of the league. This is what happens when you f**k with us .

Garrett Wilson is worth (2) First rounders to the 49ers.

We need to restock WR in upcoming drafts anyways.

1 dangerous WR opens up the defense (JSN v KC and Evans v SEA as recent examples).

Wilson already has a contract in place and the Jets paid most of the bonus money for it. It would be an easy star contract to absorb.

With Evans + Wilson + Stribling it removes the risk factor at WR for 2027 as well.

We can sit tight on a final Pearsall year and not exercise his 5th year option. Can trade him too if someone offers value.

This right here

If Wilson is available I'm trading two 1sts for him all day long. We would never get a player like him where we will be picking with those picks and he would take our entire offense to another level.

Garrett Wilson and Mike Evans outside with Kittle in the middle and CMC at RB? Good luck.

The key to playing solid D is to get a lead and then make the opponent one dimensional.

And then to make our offense even more stout Im trading for Quinten Nelson.

2027 1st, 2028 1st and Jordan Watkins to NY for Garrett Wilson

2027 4th and Connor Colby for Quentin Nelson

2027 3rd, 2028 5th and CJ West for Deforest Buckner

I'm going all in and pushing all my chips in to win a Super Bowl this year.

While I think people insisting Nelson is worth a 1st are insane, I do think he's worth much more than a 4th and Colby despite the Joe Thuney trade.

I was thinking a 2nd. But if it's right at the deadline and there's somehow not that much demand, might be able to sneak by with a 3rd and Colby.

Do you spend a 2nd or 3rd on a guy who will probably be here for 9 games plus the playoffs?

Rams did it and it worked. Regardless, he should fetch a decent comp pick at least.

Ideally we would trade a 2nd and then extend him though. But granted as has been mentioned many times, this FO doesn't really put much cap space and capital into OL (Trent Williams was the exception, perhaps Nelson is good enough to be an exception too).

My sleeper trade is for Malik Washington from the phins. Do they view him as an absolute keeper? I'm not sure but he's pretty good.

I know Tate is off limits from the titans, but what about Dike? I don't think the Chargers are high McClonkey anymore. He may be up for grabs

As a kick returner/punt returner I will take him a million times over Cowing. Not sure as a WR if he would have much use though even for us.
Quinten Nelson would be on the top of my list. Maybe a Deforest Buckner. Left guard is a glaring problem that opponents are taking an advantage of. Nelson would remove that weakness right away. Nelson has another 3-5 years left in him so plenty of time for Colby to develop. Buckner would be a great luxury to strengthen a great young group. A receiving TE would give us some depth, not sure who on the market would pass the bar.

Mack and Brian Thomas Jr please
Buckner makes the most sense since he provides depth all along the line, i.e. he can play 5T at times if needed.
