Following Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team might consider working out other kickers during its bye week.
For now, however, the 49ers appear comfortable sticking with Eddy Piñeiro, despite his struggles this season.
Piñeiro missed an extra point in Sunday's game, bringing his season total to seven missed kicks, including three field goals and four extra points.
Speaking with reporters on a conference call Monday afternoon, Shanahan said the 49ers haven't discussed bringing in other kickers for tryouts.
"I haven't discussed it with guys," Shanahan said. "I haven't been told that we are. I actually just finished with the team and just finished with the quarterbacks, and came in here, so as far as I've heard, we don't have any plans on that right now."
That doesn't necessarily mean the team's plans couldn't change during the bye week.
After Sunday's game, Piñeiro said he had been kicking well during pregame warmups, but that success obviously didn't carry over into the game.
"Just part of the game," Piñeiro said. "Just got to make kicks and, yeah, just part of the game. Just got to go back [and watch the] tape, and get this by week, and just figure it out."
Piñeiro acknowledged the disappointment of the loss and emphasized the need to regroup during the break.
"Nobody likes to lose, obviously, and just got to get through this by week, and reassess, and start over," Piñeiro said.
