The San Francisco 49ers didn't play on Sunday. Their Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders scheduled for Monday night. That gave players an opportunity to catch some of the NFL action on television.
Some may have seen Buffalo Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson ejected from Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders after spitting on tight end Brock Bowers in the second quarter, an act that added to the safety's already unfavorable reputation.

One 49ers player who wasn't surprised by the incident was fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who claims Gardner-Johnson did the same thing to him in 2025 while playing for the Chicago Bears.
"This is the least surprising thing ever," Juszczyk wrote on social media. "[C.J. Gardner-Johnson] spit on me last year when we beat Chicago."

Gardner-Johnson is now playing for his sixth different team in six NFL seasons, counting his two stints with the Philadelphia Eagles as one. Sunday's ejection was the second of his NFL career. He was previously ejected during a 2024 game against the Commanders while with the Philadelphia Eagles after receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for taunting.
The safety has also reportedly been fined 13 times during his career, totaling $194,924. The NFL will likely add to that sum this week, with some speculating that a suspension might accompany a fine.
Meanwhile, Juszczyk is preparing to return from the knee injury that forced him to miss last Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Saturday that the veteran fullback is full-go for Monday night's matchup against Washington.
