The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 4 contest against the Denver Broncos on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
All eyes are on Mike Evans this week after the wide receiver suffered a rib injury in the 49ers' Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Evans was among several players who missed practice Wednesday.
When asked if Evans is expected to practice at any point this week, head coach Kyle Shanahan simply said, "He may. Not today, and hopefully, later in the week."
Tackle Trent Williams is also being monitored after suffering a neck stinger against the Cardinals.
Newly signed wide receiver Dante Pettis, who started his NFL career with the 49ers, took part in practice and was wearing No. 15.

As expected, defensive linemen Nick Bosa and James Thompson Jr. were also among the players who did not practice Wednesday. Both are expected to miss additional time due to their respective injuries, contributing to the diminishing depth along the defensive front.
However, the 49ers opened the practice window for defensive end Mykel Williams, who has been recovering from last season's ACL injury. Williams will become eligible to return from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list after Week 4.

A new addition to the injury report is defensive end Keion White, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. When asked if White could miss time, Shanahan said, "Hope not, but it's a hamstring, and it's keeping him out today."
