Black appeared on Thursday's injury report with a groin issue, which head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated was minor.
The rookie was one of two 49ers players listed as questionable for Week 2. The other was kicker Eddy Piñeiro, who was dealing with an illness and is also expected to play.
The 49ers selected Black in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact in his NFL debut, rushing for 65 yards on 14 carries against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.
