The 49ers recently signed offensive lineman Kion Smith to a one-year deal, but the team's roster moves along the offensive line may not be complete. San Francisco could simply be evaluating potential options in case additional depth is needed.
Several 49ers offensive linemen are currently dealing with injuries. Rookie Carver Willis, a fourth-round draft pick, suffered a concussion. Meanwhile, Nick Zakelj is dealing with an elbow injury, while Brett Toth has an undisclosed injury.
Offensive tackle Vederian Lowe remains out with a high-ankle sprain.
Additionally, the 49ers reached an injury settlement with defensive lineman William Bradley-King, who landed on the team's injured reserve list after being waived with an injury designation.
