For the first time, fans had an opportunity to observe on-field work at Tight End University (TEU), the annual summit held in Nashville, Tennessee. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is among the founders of the event, and looked to be moving well during the workouts despite still recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in last season's playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kittle is one of the NFL's most beloved players for both his production and personality. On Tuesday, the 49ers star made a point to show his appreciation to the fans who attended the session at Vanderbilt Stadium.


After practice concluded, Kittle stayed on the field to sign autographs for every fan who waited. Brad Graham of TheSFNiners, a popular social media presence, shared footage of Kittle taking time to sign memorabilia and interact with supporters, highlighting the tight end's connection with the fanbase.


Kittle was not the only 49ers presence at the event. Starting quarterback Brock Purdy also participated in on-field sessions, taking part in throwing drills with players during the workout period.


Like Kittle, Purdy also stayed after practice to sign autographs and engage with fans who attended the open session.


Backup quarterback Mac Jones also drew attention during the event, taking time to lighten the mood by showing off his knowledge of dance moves. Like Purdy, he threw to players during the on-field work.


Fan access is just the latest evolution of Tight End University, which continues to grow every year.
