Beal was a restricted free agent, but the 49ers chose not to place a tender on him before Wednesday's deadline, allowing the defensive lineman to sign with any team.
Beal entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick (173rd overall) out of the University of Georgia in 2023, selected by the 49ers. He has spent his entire professional career with San Francisco, primarily as a defensive end and on special teams.
During the 2025 season, Beal appeared in seven games, recording 14 tackles. Throughout the season, he split time between the team's active roster and practice squad.
Over three NFL seasons, Beal has appeared in 25 games, totaling 36 tackles and one sack. His career statistics also include one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit, with his first career sack coming against the Los Angeles Rams during his rookie campaign.
