Taylor entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis in 2020, signing with the Green Bay Packers. He spent the majority of his first four seasons in Green Bay, with a brief stint on the New England Patriots' practice squad in 2023. Taylor joined the 49ers in April 2024 and re-signed with the team on a one-year contract for the 2025 season.
During the 2024 season, Taylor appeared in 13 games, including one start, for the 49ers, recording 39 carries for 183 yards and one touchdown, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He also contributed three receptions for 25 yards.
Taylor was placed on injured reserve on August 19, 2025, after suffering a fractured shoulder during the preseason, which caused him to miss the 2025 campaign.
Over four active NFL seasons, Taylor has appeared in 47 regular-season games, totaling 104 carries for 444 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He has also recorded 17 receptions for 94 yards. Additionally, Taylor has appeared in three postseason games—all with the Packers—contributing six rushing yards on three attempts.
