San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams is among seven players listed as questionable for Sunday's NFC Wild Card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran offensive lineman has been working his way back from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 17, which forced him to miss the regular-season finale in Week 18.

While Williams says he is feeling good physically, he acknowledged Friday that his availability will ultimately be a game-time decision.


"We'll see. We'll see," Williams told reporters.

Still, with so much at stake, Williams was asked whether he feels confident he will be on the field at Lincoln Financial Field. He nodded and replied, "Yeah."

When asked if his confidence level is higher than it was a week ago, Williams didn't hesitate.

"Yeah, definitely more confident than I felt a week ago," he said.


The Eagles enter Sunday's matchup as six-point favorites, according to BetMGM, making Williams' potential return especially significant for the 49ers. With the roster dealing with multiple injuries and the offense looking to regain rhythm after struggling in Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks, added protection for quarterback Brock Purdy would be a significant boost.


That said, Williams admitted the hamstring injury remains a concern.

"I mean, it's always going to be a little bit of concern," Williams said, via Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle. "Obviously, I'm kind of pushing the limits on the time that's required for it. So, obviously, it'll probably be in the back of my mind for a little bit.

"But once you get out there and the juices get to flowing, adrenaline, I don't think it should be that big of a problem."
