Quarterback is a big concern for San Francisco. With Brock Purdy already ruled out due to a toe injury, the 49ers are expected to start Mac Jones—though he continues to battle knee and oblique issues and is officially listed as questionable. That leaves rookie Adrian Martinez as the only fully healthy quarterback on the roster.
In addition to the quarterback situation, there remains uncertainty among the receiving corps. Ricky Pearsall will miss his second straight game with a knee injury, while Jauan Jennings is questionable with ankle and rib injuries.
