In-game injury updates:
- LB Tatum Bethune left with an ankle injury but later returned.
- S Marques Sigle sustained a knee injury and did not return.
- RB Ameer Abdullah exited with a rib injury and did not return.
- DE Robert Beal Jr. suffered a groin injury late in the game.
When asked if Sigle's injury might be serious, Shanahan replied, "I don't think so. I don't want to speak too soon—it looked more like just a knee bruise and stuff, but we'll have to see. But I thought he was one of the guys who flashed a lot tonight. He got a little bit of a late start on being injured in the offseason, and I think it was a few days into camp where he really got going. But he's had a hell of a week here, and finished it off good today."
Rookie cornerback Upton Stout did not play. Shanahan explained, "His calf was tight. We were kind of cautious with him."
Shanahan also confirmed that rookie defensive lineman Mykel Williams, injured during Thursday's joint practice with Denver, avoided a long-term setback.
"Yeah, he hyperextended his knee," Shanahan said. "It'll probably be a week or so."
Safety Richie Grant is dealing with a knee issue and will likely miss about "a week or so, too."
As for cornerback Renardo Green and wide receiver Jacob Cowing, both nursing hamstring injuries, Shanahan is still hopeful they will return this week.
"It depends on how their workout goes tomorrow," he said. "But we were planning on getting them back this week. I hope it's sooner than later because I don't want their first practice to be against another team, so we'll see how it goes."
