According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Fred Warner is also at the facility. There's been speculation that the 49ers may also look to extend their star linebacker.
However, Warner's situation differs from that of Purdy and Kittle. While the latter two are entering the final years of their respective contracts, Warner still has two years left on his deal, making it unlikely that he would skip offseason workouts.
That said, it's reassuring that Warner, the leader of the defense, is back in the building. With Robert Saleh returning as defensive coordinator, Warner's veteran presence will be crucial as the team looks to bounce back from a disappointing 2024 season.
Despite dealing with an ankle fracture, Warner played all 17 games last season. He still posted impressive numbers while playing through the injury, tallying 131 tackles (five for a loss), two interceptions, a touchdown, seven passes defensed, and a sack. His performance earned him his fourth All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.
Finally healthy, Warner recently sent a clear message to fans and opponents alike: "I promise you, you ain't seen nothing yet. I'm just getting started."
