On Thursday, The Athletic's Matt Barrows revealed several additional prospects who visited the team in Santa Clara—names either not previously reported or not reported by reliable sources. The newly revealed visits include a mix of offensive and defensive linemen, as the 49ers continue to assess key positions of need ahead of the draft. We've updated our pre-draft tracker to reflect Barrows' latest report.
According to Barrows, the following players met with the 49ers in Santa Clara:
- OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas
- OT Anthony Belton, N.C. State
- OT Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon
- OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota
- OL Jonah Monheim, USC
- DT Aeneas Peebles, Virginia Tech
- DE Elijah Roberts, SMU
- DE David Walker, Central Arkansas
Banks is particularly notable, as several mock drafts have linked the Texas standout to the 49ers with the No. 11 overall pick. The offensive line remains a pressing concern for San Francisco following the free-agent departures of guard Aaron Banks and tackle Jaylon Moore. With All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams turning 37 ahead of the 2025 season, the team is likely eyeing a long-term successor.
The other newly reported visits consist of defensive linemen—a position widely considered the 49ers' most urgent need following the exits of Javon Hargrave, Maliek Collins, and Leonard Floyd. The team enters the draft with limited depth up front, making reinforcements a top priority.
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off next week, with Round 1 set for Thursday, April 24, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
