San Francisco 49ers guard Jon Feliciano has announced his retirement from the NFL.

"The fire is still there, but I know I can't last a full season and can't bring myself to let people down," Feliciano said in his social media post. "Being on a team and unable to help out your boys is rough. That being said, Buffalo or SF, I'll be ready for a playoff run in December if you need me."



Feliciano (6-4, 325) entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (No. 128 overall) by the Oakland Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami (FL). He has played multiple positions across the offensive line, including guard and center, making him a versatile depth piece throughout his career.

In 2023, Feliciano appeared in 16 games for the San Francisco 49ers, starting seven and playing 48 percent of the offensive snaps, per Pro Football Reference. He spent the entire 2024 season on injured reserve due to a knee injury.

Feliciano, 33, has appeared in 113 games, starting 61, over nine NFL seasons. In addition to time with the Raiders and 49ers, his NFL journey has included stints with the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants. He became a full-time starter during his tenure with the Bills from 2019 to 2021, where he helped anchor a line that protected quarterback Josh Allen.
