Tight end George Kittle was held out of practice on Wednesday due to a foot injury but returned to the field on Thursday and appeared to be moving around well during the portion of practice that was open to the media.
Kittle wasn't the only player back on the field. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel also returned to practice after being hospitalized with pneumonia earlier in the week. Samuel was released from the hospital on Tuesday but did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
When asked on Wednesday if there was a chance of Samuel playing this weekend, head coach Kyle Shanahan replied, "Yes."
The 49ers initially hoped to have Jauan Jennings back this week. The receiver missed Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hip injury and did not practice on either Wednesday or Thursday.
On the Cowboys' side, it's worth noting that defensive end Micah Parsons missed practice for the second consecutive day due to an ankle injury.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cowboys, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
