Jennings was an effective weapon against the Chiefs' defense during that February matchup, but he may not be available this weekend for the rematch at Levi's Stadium. Jennings has yet to practice this week, and his continued absence on Thursday—with only one more practice remaining—casts doubt on his availability for Sunday.
Jennings is the 49ers' leading receiver with 404 yards and three touchdowns this season. His absence would be a significant blow to an offense seeking to finally overcome its championship roadblock.
Additionally, wide receiver Deebo Samuel (wrist) and running back Jordan Mason (shoulder) remain limited in practice, both wearing blue no-contact jerseys. Neither kicker—Jake Moody (ankle) nor Matthew Wright (shoulder, back)—nor defensive tackle Kevin Givens were observed during the media's brief viewing period. Givens had participated in Wednesday's practice.
Notably, defensive tackle Maliek Collins (knee) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday.
The 49ers will release their official practice participation report soon.
