The 49ers offense generated several big plays, and the defense came up with some timely sacks and takeaways to send the Seahawks to a fourth-straight loss.
- Did the 49ers break the Eagles? I sure hope so because the 49ers currently have the number-one seed in the NFC. That comes with a first-round bye, which would be nice for a team that plays as violently as the 49ers.
- From now on, anyone who says Brock Purdy is a dink-and-dunk QB who would be nothing without his weapons gets throat-punched. Dink and dunk quarterbacks don't throw for 368 yards.
- The Seahawks kept this closer than I expected them to, but considering the game the 49ers were coming off of, this wasn't too bad. Divisional games are always tough. And the 49ers still won by double-digits.
- This was not an injury-free game for the 49ers. Let's hope none are long-term.
- Some of the players who left the game due to injury included Charvarius Ward, Javon Hargrave, and Oren Burks. The 49ers were already playing without Arik Armstead.
- Ji'Ayir Brown is playing well. This was his best game yet.
- If Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell, and Jordan Mason are unavailable, maybe Mitch Wishnowsky can play running back.
- Speaking of McCaffrey, he's pretty good.
- If you want to see something really impressive, watch that McCaffrey run again. This time, watch Brandon Aiyuk. No block, no rock.
- By the way, Aiyuk went over 1,000 receiving yards for the second straight season.
- George Kittle surpassed 6,000 career receiving yards.
- It was good to see Mason get that early touchdown. I have 49ers fans asking me almost every week (in the 49ers mailbag) why Mason doesn't play more.
- How many times did Nick Bosa get flagged for being offsides? He's such a slouch—even with his one-and-a-half sacks in the game.
- This wasn't Ronnie Bell's best game.
- Ambry Thomas isn't near as good when Ward isn't on the field.
- Clelin Ferrell had a good game. He seemed very active.
- Deebo Samuel continues his assault on opposing defenses. He's such a valuable weapon.
- The 49ers offense is incredible. The team no longer has to be carried by the defense.
- Fred Warner got in on the record-breaking, as well. Can we make the case that he's the best player on defense? I realize Bosa plays on defense. But man, Warner is incredible.
- This is the best and most complete 49ers team since the 1994 team. I realize Jim Harbaugh had some great teams, but those offenses were never this good. And I know the 1997 and 1998 teams were good, but those defenses weren't as good as this one.
- D.K. Metcalf is a crybaby. He sure has a short fuse.
- Per Matt Maiocco, of NBC Sports Bay Area, the 49ers and Jason Verrett have agreed to a reunion that will have the veteran cornerback joining the team's practice squad.
Up next for the 49ers will be the Arizona Cardinals, who are coming off of a bye. The Cardinals will be more rested than the 49ers, but San Francisco has already opened up as a double-digit favorite.
