San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch confirmed last week that the team would host former Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa for a pre-draft visit. Albert Breer of The MMQB reported on Monday that the visit will take place next week. Bosa will also visit with the Oakland Raiders during his trip out west.

Breer wrote:


"Nick Bosa's dance card is filling up with the NFL draft quickly approaching this month. He'll be at the Giants' and Cardinals' facilities this week, and I'm told that next week, he'll travel to the Bay Area and to visit with the Raiders and 49ers. Much of the NFL scouting community is expecting Bosa to be drafted second overall to San Francisco, if Arizona takes Kyler Murray first overall."

NFL teams are permitted to host up to 30 players for official pre-draft visits at their facilities. Unlike local prospects, those players are not allowed to work out for the team during the visit.

The Cardinals reportedly had dinner with Bosa on Friday but are still widely expected to select former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray No. 1 overall.

The 49ers met with Bosa during Ohio State's pro day, where he did not work out for teams, and at the NFL Scouting Combine. General manager John Lynch also spoke with the draft prospect in Pasadena during the week leading to the Rose Bowl. Bosa was training in the area.

Bosa played in just three games in 2018 but finished with four sacks after racking up 13.5 in his previous two years. He missed most of the season after undergoing surgery due to a core muscle injury sustained during the Buckeye's third game and announced on October 16, 2018, that he was leaving school to focus on preparing for the draft.
