SANTA CLARA — Kyle Juszczyk is enjoying the reunion. The 49ers fullback believes the return of both Dre Greenlaw and Deebo Samuel is just what the team needed. Juszczyk spoke to the media on Monday and started by sharing why the versatile receiver’s presence alone is reason for excitement.
“It comes from a lot of things,” Juszczyk said. “Deebo is the best. He is such an incredible teammate, he’s such a good friend. He’s an incredible football player, so we are really happy to have him in the locker room just because he brings the best vibes and positivity.
“But we are also happy to have him on the field because he’s still got juice and he can still go out there and make good plays.”
The 49ers were in clear need of a receiving threat in 2025 when Christian McCaffrey was not only the leading rusher, but also the top receiving target for quarterback Brock Purdy. Now, with Ricky Pearsall set to undergo season-ending knee surgery, the offense will benefit even more from Samuel’s return on a one-year contract.
