SANTA CLARA — There is even more uncertainty surrounding the 49ers’ roster after the first week of training camp.Tight end George Kittle (Achilles) and defensive lineman Mykel Williams (knee) remain on the active/physically-unable-to-perform list.
A month before the 49ers depart for their Week 1 game in Melbourne, Australia, against the Los Angeles Rams, it is undetermined whether either will be available to take the field to open the season.
Moreover, several other injury concerns have developed that could impact the 49ers’ initial 53-man roster.
One has already been settled with wide receiver Ricky Pearsall scheduled for season-ending surgery on his right knee.
But other injuries — and the recoveries of those players — could impact the roster, too.
