Kyle Shanahan states 49ers are in ‘no rush’ to part with Brandon Aiyuk

PHOENIX — The 49ers do not want to give away something for nothing. Coach Kyle Shanahan spoke Monday at the NFL’s Annual League Meeting and shared why the team has yet to release Brandon Aiyuk. The front office could have made the move at the start of the league year, but the wideout currently remains on the roster. “I don’t have a date for it, but I know eventually it will resolve itself,” Shanahan said. “Hopefully — we can get something for him. I know we are in no rush to do that. You got to do what’s right for the Niners. You’re not trying to hook up any other team as fast as you possibly can. Hopefully we can get something for that and it will take care off itself I would think.” The star receiver has been connected to the Washington Commanders due to him being a close friend of quarterback Jayden Daniels.
