Kyle Shanahan shares lengthy injury update from 49ers’ Week 2 win vs. Saints

For the second week in a row, the 49ers reported new injuries on the Monday following their game.Coach Kyle Shanahan spoke via conference call and gave several updates on his players on the day after their 26-21 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Caesars Superdome.Left guard Ben Bartch, who was seen wearing a walking boot after being ruled out of the game, suffered a high ankle sprain and will miss a few weeks. Rookie Connor Colby, who was on the field for 61 of the offense’s 71 snaps after Bartch’s departure, is set to remain as his replacement.“I’ve loved how he’s been here so far and I thought he came in that game early, and I thought he did a hell of a job,” Shanahan said of Colby. “Made some plays and he’ll get better the more he plays, but he was ready for the moment and definitely helped us with that win.”The offensive line took another blow with Spencer Burford, who was on the field for five special teams plays.
