SANTA CLARA — Running back Christian McCaffrey caught a swing pass from quarterback Brock Purdy in a red-zone drill and took it into the end zone toward the end of 49ers practice on Tuesday.The first teammate to greet McCaffrey with a jumping side bump — much to the delight of the fans in attendance — was tight end George Kittle.If you want to know how the 49ers plan to compensate for the loss of so many wide receivers in training camp, look no further than those players right there.McCaffrey and Kittle are more than capable of making up for any dip in production from the 49ers’ group of wide receivers.
