The San Francisco 49ers' injury list continued to grow on Wednesday, with fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger fracture), wide receiver Jacob Cowing (hip flexor), and offensive linemen Carver Willis (concussion) and Brett Toth (undisclosed) all added to the list of players sidelined.
The 49ers are scheduled to hold a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans next week ahead of the teams' preseason matchup. With the injury list continuing to expand, one reporter asked whether San Francisco might consider canceling the joint practice due to roster limitations.
OK, so 18 players on the 49ers active 90-man roster are not practicing today. That's 20%. Not including the five players on IR, so 23 in total.

The 49ers are trending towards having to cancel joint practices with the Titans for not having enough healthy bodies

Assistant head coach and offensive line coach Chris Foerster, who is serving as interim head coach while Kyle Shanahan recovers from injuries sustained in a car accident, doesn't appear concerned. He indicated that, to his knowledge, the team's plans for next week's joint practice remain unchanged.
In fact, Foerster believes the concern surrounding the 49ers' injuries may be overstated.
"It seems like we're very healthy," Foerster told reporters after Wednesday's practice. "I mean, we have injuries. We have dings and bumps and bruises, and guys are missing practices. It's (canceling the joint practice) yet to come up in anything I've heard. Doesn't mean it hasn't been discussed, but shoot, I think we'll [have] plenty [of players].
"If you have two deep at every position, you can practice. You can always adjust with the threes. One, two, threes. Threes are hard to stay healthy through the course of training camp if you're practicing football hard.
"If you're not practicing football hard, you can get through camp easily without injuries, a couple muscles here and there. But if you're practicing hitting, contact, style of football, whatever it is—so yeah, that's not come up at this point."
The 49ers didn't make it through Wednesday's practice unscathed, however. Reporters in attendance noted that defensive end Sam Okuayinonu left with an ankle injury, while offensive lineman Nick Zakelj exited after suffering an elbow injury.
The team will continue to monitor their injured players over the remainder of the week. For now, nothing suggests San Francisco is considering altering its plans for next week's joint practice with Tennessee.
