According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers are signing free-agent linebacker Quinton Bell to a one-year contract.

Bell was one of four players who worked out for the 49ers on Tuesday. The others were defensive ends K.J. Henry and Titus Leo, and linebacker Victor Dimukeje. San Francisco is also reportedly signing Henry.
The then-Oakland Raiders selected Bell out of Prairie View A&M in the seventh round (No. 230 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Throughout his NFL career, the veteran linebacker has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins, appearing in regular-season games for the Buccaneers, Falcons, and Dolphins.
Bell most recently played for the Dolphins during the 2025 season, appearing in seven games while recording eight tackles and recovering one fumble.
Over four NFL seasons, Bell has appeared in 33 games, including three starts. He has totaled 38 tackles, one sack, one pass defensed, and one forced fumble.
Bell was a member of the Buccaneers during the 2020 season when Tampa Bay defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. However, he spent the postseason on the practice squad and did not play during the team's championship run.
