According to Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group, the 49ers will be without fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who suffered a fractured finger.
The wide receiver group also continues to battle injuries. Jacob Cowing is the latest addition to the list after sustaining a hip flexor injury. Meanwhile, Mike Evans continues to recover from a quad strain, De'Zhaun Stribling is dealing with hamstring tightness, and Christian Kirk remains sidelined with a calf strain.
Offensive linemen Carver Willis (concussion) and Brett Toth (undisclosed) are also sidelined.
In addition, defensive end Nick Bosa, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa will sit out while dealing with soreness. The 49ers have taken a cautious approach with Bosa as he returns from an ACL injury. He has previously been held out of team drills, and will have an opportunity to rest on Wednesday.
Inman wrote that it was defensive end Sam Okuayinonu dealing with soreness rather than Odighizuwa, but other reporters state it is Odighizuwa.
San Francisco also made several roster moves on Wednesday, including signing wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and edge rusher Ogbo Okoronkwo to one-year deals to bolster the roster.
The 49ers will open their preseason schedule against the Tennessee Titans at Levi's Stadium on Thursday, August 13. They will then travel to face the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders before opening the regular season against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia, on Thursday, September 10.
