Hopefully, it's just a minor setback, especially with the 49ers' wide receiver room already dealing with several health concerns early in camp.
Ricky Pearsall has been lost for the season after suffering a setback related to the PCL injury he sustained last year. He is expected to undergo surgery to repair the damage.
Following Pearsall's injury, the 49ers reunited with veteran wide receiver Deebo Samuel, signing him to a one-year contract to help add experience and depth to the position group.
Meanwhile, free-agent addition Christian Kirk has missed multiple practices while recovering from a calf strain, and promising rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling remains sidelined with hamstring tightness. Stribling is considered day-to-day.
Inman also reported that running back Kaelon Black will miss Monday's practice due to an adductor injury. However, the 49ers are getting some defensive reinforcements back, with defensive tackle C.J. West (undisclosed injury) and defensive end Romello Height (elbow) returning to action.
The 49ers also announced that defensive end Mikail Kamara, who was waived/injured on Sunday, suffered a torn ACL during Saturday's practice. Kamara is expected to clear waivers Monday and revert to San Francisco's injured reserve list.
With injuries continuing to impact the roster, the 49ers will be closely monitoring the health of their key offensive weapons as training camp progresses.
