Still, the 49ers may not be done addressing the position.
Following the draft, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox outlined 10 potential trade scenarios for teams looking to strengthen their rosters. San Francisco appeared twice on the list. One scenario involved wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, with Knox projecting a 2027 seventh-round pick as possible compensation and naming the Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders as potential suitors.
More notably, Knox identified the 49ers as a logical landing spot for Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II.
"Moore is entering a contract year, and the Colts could save $7.1 million by trading him," Knox wrote. "While draft weekend felt like an opportune time for Moore to find a new team, neither he nor Richardson was dealt."
What would it take for the 49ers to acquire Moore? Knox estimates a 2027 sixth-round pick could be enough to complete a deal, making it a relatively low-risk move for a proven veteran.
Moore, a nine-year veteran, brings extensive experience, with 111 career starts, including seven in 2025. In 14 games last season, he recorded 55 tackles (three for loss), one interception returned for a touchdown, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and 1.5 sacks.
"Moore will turn 31 in August, but played reasonably well in 2025, allowing an opposing passer rating of 87.8 in coverage," Knox added. "He'd be a sensible target for teams that failed to add a corner early in the draft."
